The DL: Rock Landmarks, Featuring the Raveonettes

The Raveonettes wanted to hang out with Jim Morrison. Turns out he's dead. So, the Danish duo did the next best thing and headed over to the Doors' old office/recording studio where they recorded the 'L.A. Woman' album. The Raveonettes even did a cover of 'Riders on the Storm' in the same bathroom Morrison recorded all the album's vocals ... among other things, we're sure. Ride the snake!

The DL: Rock Landmarks Featuring Ben Lee

What do Wilford Brimley and Ben Lee have in common? Well, the Brim-ster rocked it hard in the seminal TV series 'Our House,' while Lee recently rocked the song 'Our House' for a DL shoot in Los Angeles' Laurel Canyon. The rock landmark is a neighborhood that artists like Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne called home during the '60s and '70s. And although Lee won't teach you about the health benefits of Quaker Oats or the horrors of 'The Diabetes,' his description of how this rich tapestry of American music has influenced his work is worth the click.
