Butch Walker Teams With Pink on New Album

According to Butch Walker, he and Pink are not only drinking buddies and motorbike riding partners, but the two pop troubadours are also inclined to write hit songs together. This is exactly what happened when the singer-producer and Grammy-winning artist got together on Walker's groove-worthy 'Here Comes the...' off his fourth album, 'Sycamore Meadows.'

"I played [Pink] that song on acoustic a long time ago when I first wrote it, and she said, 'If you ever record that song, I'm singing it with you,'" Walker tells Spinner. "Needless to say, the babe has the best pipes and authentic soul in her voice of anyone in pop music, or period. And the song, to me, leans on the old country soul and rhythm and blues of the '60s, so I feel like it was a match made in heaven ... or somewhere."

Guns N' Roses Offer Up Title Track to 'Chinese Democracy'

It's been almost exactly nine years -- or, more specifically, 3276 days -- since Guns N' Roses officially released a new studio track (operative word being "officially"). Believe it or not, it's been even longer than that since Axl Rose first went into the studio to create the album he's always referred to as 'Chinese Democracy.' However, a democratic process it was not. The album became the stuff of legend (and the punch line of jokes) as musicians and producers came and went, sessions were shrouded in secrecy and the erratic Mr. Rose reportedly shredded millions in expenses with nary a song to show for it.

But ladies and gentlemen, dudes and dudettes -- it's time. At 5:00AM EST this morning, the title track to the band's finally forthcoming album 'Chinese Democracy' officially hit airwaves and the interwebs. The album itself will be available exclusively at Best Buy beginning November 23. Yes, really. So pop open a Dr. Pepper (your next one is on the house), tell the FBI to simmer down and join us as we welcome GNR to the 21st century.

IFLTS: 'You're My Favorite Waste of Time,' Marshall Crenshaw

'You're My Favorite Waste of Time,' Marshall Crenshaw and the Handsome Ruthless and Stupid Band
From 2000's resissue of 'Marshall Crenshaw' (1982)

The cheeky name of this "group" is somewhat misleading since it was only Marshall Crenshaw himself who provided all of the instrumentation on 'You're My Favorite Waste of Time.' Recorded in 1979, the song was used as the B-side of his 1983 single 'Cynical Girl' -- it now appears on the 2000 reissue of Crenshaw's self-titled debut, one of the most brilliant power pop albums ever.

'You're My Favorite Waste of Time' has everything you want in a great Marshall Crenshaw tune: a catchy melodic hook, lovely harmonies, neat guitar playing and clever lyrics. It's a cool love song that's heartfelt without sounding saccharine. It's even a bit witty, too -- one line goes, "I don't care if being with you is meaningless and ridiculous."

Ingrid Michaelson, 'Be OK' -- Song Premiere

Ingrid MichaelsonOn October 14, Ingrid Michaelson will be releasing 'Be OK,' a benefit project that features a mix of previously unreleased songs, covers and live tracks. A portion of the proceeds will go to Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), an organization focusing on cutting-edge research to find a cure for all types of cancer.

"Being one of millions with a close connection to cancer, I know I need to do my part," Michaelson says.

On the inspiring title track, the New York singer-songwriter combines a playfully strummed ukulele with a strong bass line to create a refreshingly bouncy groove, similar to that of her hit single, 'The Way I Am.' The song will be available on iTunes beginning September 2, but you can hear it exclusively on Spinner now.

Annuals, 'Confessor' -- Song Premiere

Two years after their acclaimed debut, Annuals are back with their sophomore release, 'Such Fun,' due October 7. While the North Carolina-based band sticks to its colorful, indie-pop formula, frontman and co-producer Adam Baker makes sure the record lives up to its name. Working with producer Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits), the group delivers a solid mix of post-rock, country-pop and orchestral balladry. Check out the harmony-laden opener 'Confessor' (available on iTunes August 19).

Oasis, 'Shock of the Lightning' -- New Song

Oasis are back with 'Shock of the Lightning,' the dynamic first single from their seventh studio release, 'Dig Out Your Soul,' due out on October 7. "I wanted to write music that had a groove, not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus, and middle eight," songwriter Noel Gallagher said of the new music's direction. "I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic and driving, with songs that would draw you in, songs that you would maybe have to connect to -- to feel." Listen to the steadily energetic tune to get a taste of the highly-anticipated new album.

Sarah McLachlan, 'U Want Me 2' -- Song Premiere

Like Joni Mitchell before her, if there's one thing Sarah McLachlan knows, it's pretty ballads about the good, the bad and the ugly of love. Twenty years since the release of her debut, and McLachlan's still musing on matters of the heart. On October 7, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and First Lady of Lilith will release a greatest-hits album, 'Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan,' featuring 16 lovelorn and love-filled tracks. While McLachlan collections are nothing new to her fans (she's notorious for taking lengthy hiatuses between albums), 'Closer' contains two new songs: 'U Want Me 2' and 'Don't Give Up on Us,' the first of which you can hear below. A proper follow-up to McLachlan's last album, 2003's 'Afterglow,' isn't seeing a release anytime soon, so enjoy.

Meanwhile, McLachlan, who gave birth to her second daughter last year, recently came out of hiding to perform in her hometown of Vancouver as part of the True Colors tour. "It's been awhile for me," she admitted to the fans. "I'm sorry ... I got knocked up again."

Top 20 Worst Songs Ever: No. 20

For some, the gimmicks couldn't stand the test of time, others were just plain crap to begin with. These tunes will forever incite horror, laughter and despair in the listeners brave enough to revisit them. AOL Radio has launched a new station counting down the 111 most wretched songs in history -- here's a look at the 20 worst of the worst.

'The Final Countdown'
--Europe (1986)

The song's synthesizer fanfare may have been considered pretty groundbreaking in 1986, but come to think of it, dudes with feathered hair seemed like a good idea at the time, too. Today, this song serves as a caricature of cheesy '80s synth rock.

'What's Up'
--4 Non Blondes (1993)

When grunge music started moving units back in the early '90s, this group showed up as the genre's angst-free, family-safe counterpoint. Even though frontwoman Linda Perry moved on to a successful career writing and producing songs for superstar artists, that doesn't make up for her cringe-worthy yodeling in her former band's only hit song.

'Gettin' Jiggy Wit It'
--Will Smith (1998)

Here is some SAT practice: Will Smith is to rap as the Jonas Brothers are to punk rock. As far as emcees go, nothing gets much more family-friendly than this Hollywood star's hop-hop-lite slumming.
